Information for Food Assistance Agencies and Nutrition Educators

This web site, Healthy Recipes, offers recipes (searchable via database) for those utilizing emergency, salvaged, gleaned and commodity foods. Our Nutrition Education Program (NEP) audiences may receive foods they don't recognize or simply do not know how to cook. These recipes help people apply nutrition messages within time/ingredient/equipment constraints.

Nutrition Education

We encourage Food Stamp recipients to use this web site. Food assistance agencies (including Regional Food Banks) may access the database search to print and copy recipes and distribute them in bulk with foods going out to food pantries and gleaning pick-up sites. Additional users include Oregon State University Extension nutrition faculty and program staff, as well as nutrition educators in other states.
